I am not a good person because I’m creative. I don’t have to be recognized or praised for my ideas.
I don’t have to perform the best, or preach the best, or be noticed the most. In 100 years, these things won’t even be relevant in my life.
In 100 years, I’ll be chiefly defined by what I’m placing my identity in today: that I am a child of the Living King.
This is something I know, but rarely realize. I’m feeling tempted today to get back on the “performance wheel” of identity. Jesus - it all belongs to you. I am yours, and you are mine.
