The MOST Important Thing

Today is one of those days.  I’m crazy busy.  We’re about to host a huge event.  I was up extremely late last night.  Up really early today.  I didn’t get a chance to spend time with God.

I’m sitting at my computer thinking of every reason that I don’t have time, and I sense the Lord speaking to my heart.  "Do one more thing without coming to Me, and you’re in the wrong.“

I clicked over to my Kindle app, opened the ESV Daily Reading Bible, and started to read.  My primary motivation was to "do the right thing.”  Immediately, God began to change and soften my heart.  In the midst of my business, God still wants me.  He wants me more than He wants my service.  That’s so cool and incredible.  Not to mention, today I began to read about Moses’ encounter with God on the top of the mountain.

Exodus 24:15 Then Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain. 16 The glory of the LORD dwelt on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day he called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 Now the appearance of the glory of the LORD was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel. 18 Moses entered the cloud and went up on the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

God is so amazing.  In His BIG-ness, He wants to receive our small-ness.  I love Him so much!
