Current Financial Goals
We have two amazing primary partners for this missions journey: the North American Missions Board, and Blackshear Place Baptist Church. We are praying for more high-impact partners to help bring this vision to life. In our first few months, we will be focused on moving to the city and establishing our local partnerships. Keep scrolling for a complete budget breakdown for our next three years.
CITIES are Expensive Yet Strategic
Portland, Oregon is growing. In fact, it's one of the top 4 most expensive housing markets on the West Coast. On average, we have found that we can get less than 1/2 of the house for double the price (compared with the Southeast). Because of the prohibitive cost, many ministries have focused their time and money in less expensive areas. While churches have moved out of the cities, the enemy has crept into these influential culture-shaping areas. We are excited that NAMB has recently begun to focus missions spending in these high-impact Gospel-ready zones.
3 Year MINISTRY BUDGET
Launch Sunday is August 2016
Basic Timeline for our ministry
- CONNECT: Fall 2015 - The Bennett's move to Portland, establish local connections, set-up office space, and begin to share Christ one-on-one
- GATHER: Winter 2015/Spring 2016 - The Bennett's begin building a Launch Team of Portland locals, and out-of-town recruits
- LAUNCH: Summer 2016 - As the weather gets warmer, our plans will be heating up. For the entire month of July, we're inviting all of our ministry partners to help us saturate the city with the Gospel through 1-week evangelistic mission trips. Our goal is to facilitate 7,000 Gospel Conversations, and church invitations. We're praying for God to send 300 believers to help this happen. We believe with this dynamic plan, it might be possible to see 300 in attendance for our launch Sunday.
